I'm an online journalist who has managed to turn my endless curiosity into a full-time gig. These days, I'm a senior reporter at Law360, a daily, national business law newswire, where I cover mergers & acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance and capital markets, with a sprinkling of project finance, energy and infrastructure. If you can buy it, sell it, leverage it, hedge it, insure it, sue each other in Delaware over it, or create some sort of needlessly complicated risk mitigation framework around it, it's probably in my wheelhouse. I'm interested by how companies are built, run and sold.
Previous work experience runs the journalism 2.0 gamut, from the overseeing web content at a Chicago media group to minding the people's business at a daily newspaper in the Boston area, to one glorious summer covering the Cape Cod Baseball League.
I'm a wonk at heart. A natural explainer. I like learning about things, then telling other people about those things.
